Promise not to keep your promise!?
The ullu banaooing series of Congress-NCP continues...

Come elections and it rains promises from Congress- NCP government. The secular card they play is now tattered and despite their pathetic attempts to accuse BJP of polarizing, their secular mask comes off, time and again! The promises they shower before elections and then a complete turnaround is now their inglorious hallmark!  

For 2004 assembly elections, they announced free electricity for farmers and Sushil Kumar Shinde’s pix posing with farmers holding zero -amount bills were splashed all over. Similarly, that year James Laine’s offending book on Shivaji Maharaj was released and R. R. Patil made tall promises of taking help of Interpol to arrest and bring Laine to Mumbai for a strict action. Years have passed since then but there is no sign of Laine or Shivaji Maharaj’s  300-feet statue in the sea...

And then, their usual vote-bank politics in legalising slums and the appalling ‘printing mistake ’ comment of congress spokesperson Prabha Rao completed the circle of frauds! 

As expected, all the promises vanished in thin air!. And as if rubbing salt on wounds, the ever-smiling senior congress leader, a self-proclaimed loyal solider of `Madam’ said that the promises made during elections are not to be taken seriously!!

In 2009, there was a repetition of false promises plus a factor of MNS splitting the anti-incumbency votes. So even though BJP-Shivsena were leading on more than 150 places, MNS ate up the major chunk of anti-incumbency votes benefitting Congress –NCP. 

This time too, they are back with the `rich legacy’ of false promises plus they are all set to polarize the people of Maharashtra as OBCs, Marathas and Muslims for their political motives. They have already started using Phule, Shahu, Ambedkar in their election speeches but this is nothing but their usual gimmick !! If they think they can fool people again they are wrong  time has come to show them the might of a ballot paper..!!
