The
results of the Assembly elections of five states namely Rajasthan, Madhya
Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram will be declared within a week and
there are predictions that Congress will have to taste fruits of failure. It
could be due to the seizure of assets worth Rs 751.9 crore of Congress-related
companies, the Associated Journals (AJL) and Young Indian, in the National
Herald case that took place when campaigning for these elections was in full
swing. AJL’s properties in Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow and other locations are among
the seized assets. Predictions are based on the response received from people
during the rallies in these 5 states. Realizing that despite putting all its
might, they will have to taste the fruits of failure, Congress’s prince Rahul
Gandhi has gone ballistic. When he has nowhere to hide, he begins to lash out
at Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the most atrocious language during rallies.
He forgets how his baseless allegations with reference to Rafale procurement
deal, had landed him to render an apology before the Supreme Court. But he
doesn’t seem to have gained any wisdom as yet.
It may
be recalled that a few years ago, Rahul Gandhi had alleged that there were
malpractices in the Rafale procurement deal. At that time, he was unable to
present evidence to back his accusations. This backfired on him but he somehow
managed to free himself by submitting a written apology after Supreme Court’s
verdict for his remarks ‘chowkidar chor hai’ in reference to Prime Minister
Narendra Modi. Unfortunately, the Gandhi scion hasn’t seemed to have learnt any
lesson and he continues to make rampant accusations. After losing public
support, national party like Congress is left with no option but to resort to
lies. But they don’t realize that whatever little credibility is left will soon
go to the abyss. The party seems to have forgotten that if baseless accusations
are made, apologies will have to be rendered. Interestingly, without reading
Supreme Court’s verdict and without understanding its implications, leaders
like Rahul Gandhi went to people with a narrative that the court admitted that
there had been misappropriations in the Rafale deal.
The
Supreme Court had stated that a news item published can be used as evidence in
the case and had rejected the stance presented by the central government. Based
on this, Gandhi scion passed slanderous remarks on Prime Minister Modi’s
character. He should have gained some wisdom after this supreme defeat. In
fact, he and his advisors should have realized the ramifications of these
statements, but in vain. During that time, Rahul Gandhi had also met late
Manohar Parrikar and after this meeting he had tried to project how Parrikar
was against the Rafale deal. However, Parrikar had immediately publicly
rubbished it.
Rahul
Gandhi had also alleged that Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh
Chouhan’s son had stake in a foreign company. When Chouhan’s son warned of
filing complaint for damage, Rahul Gandhi had apologized. He does not seem to
realize that by spreading false information and rendering repeated apologies he
is putting his credibility to stake. Rahul Gandhi reminds me of the quote
‘empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the
greatest babblers. But as you gain wisdom you learn to listen more and speak
less often. But the half-wits always exhibit their ignorance, shallowness and
stupidity. Congress’s prince seems to be interested in only exhibiting his
ignorance at all times.Of course, no one can do anything about it. Recently,
while speaking in the Lok Sabha, the Gandhi scion spoke about ‘nation’ and
‘Constitution’ in a manner that could deceive the divisive forces. Some
intellectuals and journalists opined that Gandhi’s opinion must be taken
cognizance of. Gandhi even went to the extent of saying that the word ‘nation’
was not mentioned in the Constitution.
Citing
reference from former Prime Minister Nehru’s statement, the incumbent Prime
Minister Modi stormed Gandhi scion in the Parliament. PM Modi cited passages
from Nehru’s Discovery of India regarding the concepts of Constitution, group
of states based on different languages and nation. He lashed out at Nehru’s
great-grandson for insulting his maternal family patriarch.
Goebbels
theory says, ‘Repeat a lie enough and it becomes the truth’. Congress
leadership thinks that once Modi’s image is tarnished, it will be easier for
them in future. And for that they are constantly propagating that Modi
government is only working to benefit industrialists like Adani. They are also
coming up with new accusations all the time. It seems Congress has realized
that they will not be able to take the legacy of great-grandfather, grandmother
and father any further and hence now, Congress scion is also going absurd. I
can only wish him a speedy recovery. Get well soon Mr. Rahul.
