Now
‘famous’ as the siren of UBATHA Sena and a self-proclaimed spokesperson of MVA,
MP Sanjay Raut has been tightly slapped by the court. Sanjay Raut has been
convicted and sentenced to 15 days imprisonment and was fined Rs 25,000 (Twenty
Five Thousand ) by the Mazgaon court in Mumbai in case of allegations made by
Raut against an organization related to the wife of Bharatiya Janata Party’s
senior leader Dr. Kirit Somaiya.
Sanjay
Raut had alleged that Medha Somaiya’s Yuvak Pratishthan bagged the contract for
construction of public toilet in Mira-Bhayandar by submitting fake documents.
When Sanjay Raut made this allegation, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government was in
power in the state. Dr. Kirit Somaiya had accused Uddhav Thackeray of
concealing the details of 19 bungalows near Alibaug. Dr. Somaiya had proved
with the documents that Uddhav Thackeray had not given the information in his
Vidhan Parishad’s nomination form about these bungalows being in the name of
his wife. He had made allegations against Uddhav Thackeray as well as UBATHA
leader Anil Parab by producing the solid proofs along with government
documents. Uddhav Thackeray and his supporters were annoyed because they could
not give satisfactory answers to these allegations. To counter these
allegations made by Dr. Somaiya, Sanjay Raut accused Medha Somaiya. Taking
cognizance of Raut’s allegations, the then Maha Vikas Aghadi had also ordered
an inquiry into these allegations. When Medha Somaiya dragged Sanjay Raut to
court, he was unable to provide any supporting evidence for his allegations.
That is why the court has convicted Raut.
Not
only Sanjay Raut, but all the important leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi are
constantly busy making false allegations against the Mahayuti government. There
is nothing wrong in political allegations against each other. However, if the
allegations are being made with the intention of creating instability in the
state, country, destroying the harmony between various social groups, ending
the religious harmony, then one can imagine the level to which such politicians
have stooped. Ever since the Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena came to power
after ousting Uddhav Thackeray a little over two years ago, the Maha Vikas
Aghadi of Uddhav Thackeray, Congress and Sharad Pawar have consistently tried
to spread false allegations. In the last two years, Maha Vikas Aghadi has made
allegations like many Industries are being taken to Gujarat from Maharashtra,
Atal Setu has potholes. Recently there was a pothole in the premises of a
government organization’s City Post in Pune. The wheel of the truck got stuck
in that pothole. Maha Vikas Aghadi leaders were in the forefront, campaigning
that the road built by the Municipal Corporation in Pune has caves in, by
broadcasting the picture of that truck. An attempt was made to disrupt railway
services by calling for a protest after the incident where minor girls were
sexually abused in Badlapur. Despite the repeated requests from Police, the
crowd that had gathered on the tracks at Badlapur railway station was not ready
to retreat. Incidents like stone pelting on police also took place at this
time. The protestors were being provoked with the intention of forcing the
police to open fire. Police handled the situation with restrain and did not let
any inappropriate incident happen. During Lok Sabha election, Maha Vikas Agadhi
spread rumours like reservation will be ended, minorities will be expelled from
the country. As a result they got a consolidated Muslim support in the form votes.
The magic of lies worked in Lok Sabha. However, after realizing that this magic
will not work in the Vidhan Sabha elections, the Mahavikas Agadhi leaders are
now trying to see how violent incidents will occur in the state by various
ways. When a senior leader like Sharad Pawar makes a statement that situation
like Manipur is emerging in Maharashtra, it becomes more serious. It is
unfortunate that MVA leaders are trying to create the unrest in their own
homeland just to gain the power by hook or by crook. Few days back, Rahul
Gandhi by raising a question on Agniveer Yojana, alleged that the martyr status
is not given in the central government’s Agniveer Yojana. He has also alleged
that the families of Agniveer Jawan do not get any help. At that time, Rahul
Gandhi had mentioned the name of martyr Agniveer Akshay Gawate from Buldhana.
After Rahul’s Statement, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had in Lok Sabha itself
said that Rahul Gandhi’s allegation is totally false. Not only that, but after
Rahul Gandhi’s claim, Laxman Gawate, the father of martyr Agniveer, had said
that he had received a Rs 1 crore 10 lakh till now. Even after that Rahul baba
remained stubborn about these lies. Rahul Gandhi had claimed on social media X
that the family of Ajay Singh had not received any kind of financial assistance
from the army by saying that ‘Satya ki raksha har dharma ka aadhaar hai!’.
After Rahul made this claim, on the very next day Ajay Singh’s father clarified
that he had received compensation from Army. Aam Aadmi Party’s Arvind Kejriwal,
who is part of Indi Alliance, had made allegations against senior BJP leader
Nitin Gadkari. But it was a total fiasco for Kejriwal after Nitin Gadkari
approached the court. Kejriwal had to apologize unconditionally in the court. Even
after the court found him guilty, Sanjay Raut is still indifferent about it. He
reprimanded the judiciary system itself. Rahul
Gandhi
also had to apologize to the Supreme Court. Still his enthusiasm to keep on
making allegation has not diminished at all. We can only hope that MVA leaders
will learn some lesson after this verdict.
