The
battle for the assembly election has begun. The Mahayuti of Bharatiya Janata
Party, Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party, Republican Party, Rayat Kranti is
all set for the grand victory in this election. There is no doubt that the
Mahayuti government will be back in power on the basis of the welfare schemes
of the Modi government and the schemes planned by the Mahayuti government to
speed up the overall development of the state. After securing 2 lakh more votes
in Lok Sabha elections Maha Vikas Aghadi was on cloud nine. The success
achieved by Maha Vikas Aghadi by misleading the voters in the Lok Sabha
election campaign has now started fading. Even the voters themselves have
started realizing that they have been cheated.
After
correcting the errors in the Lok Sabha election campaign, the leaders of the
Mahayuti are now facing the battle of the assembly elections with full
confidence. The voters of Haryana have made it very clear that this false
propaganda during Lok Sabha elections will not work anymore in the assembly
elections. In this election, Mahayuti is going to the voters on the basis of
only and only development works. Mahayuti has given its account of the work
done in the last two and a half years and also the work done in 5 years before
that when Devendra Fadnavis was the Chief Minister to the public. The Mahayuti
is going towards victory by showing its progress book of development works.
Mahayuti has also given a record of mismanagement and inefficiency of Uddhav
Thackeray government to the public. Uddhav Thackeray, who was not even meeting
his own MLA’s, has in a way set an example when he was the Chief Minister of
how the government should not be run.
While
running the government, the leader is expected to take the decision or make the
policies not only based on the current situation but also with an eye on the
future. Congress led government never showed such a vision while in power in
the state for 15 consecutive years. Devendra Fadnavis on the other hand,
thinking about the next 50 years, decided to start the metro in Mumbai, Pune
and Nagpur in 2015. The Fadnavis government did not just stop at the decision
level, but the actual financial provisions required for the metro in these
three cities were completed on a priority basis with the help of the Modi
government. As a result two routes, one from Swargate to Pimpri and second from
Vanaz to Ramwadi have been completed in Pune. Punekars who were tired of
traffic congestion, have started availing the metro service in large numbers.
If the decision of Metro had been taken 20-25 years ago, the people of Pune
would have been freed from the traffic congestion long back.
BRT
project of intra-city bus service was started when Congress was in power in
Pune Municipal Corporation. However, due to lack of planning during the
implementation, the project was a complete debacle. BRT service is running very
efficiently in Ahmedabad. The ruling congress was not able to plan like that.
Uddhav Thackeray also lacks vision for development. Uddhav Thackeray, who could
not initiate a single project for the benefit of Maharashtra during his tenure
as the Chief Minister, showed his narrow-mindedness by suspending the Mumbai
Metro. It was because of Uddhav Thackeray that the work of Mumbai Metro stopped
for 2 years. As a result, the cost of Mumbai Metro increased by almost 5
thousand crores. If the Metro had not been suspended, the Mumbai Metro would
have started much earlier. When Devendra Fadnvis was a chief minister, he also
announced Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Highway along with Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur
Metro. The highway has become a catalyst for the development of the state.
Infrastructure projects like Atal Setu, Coastal Road in Mumbai have made the
lives of common citizens comfortable.
Mahayuti
Government has recently started ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’ for women. This scheme,
which is very beneficial for women from the weaker section of the society, has
generated a tremendous response. Due to the popularity of this scheme, the
leaders of Maha Vikas Aghadi are extremely worried. That’s the reason why fake
propaganda is constantly going on against the scheme. While opposing the
Mahayuti government Maha Vikas Agadhi played the dirty politics of stopping
schemes like ‘Ladki Bahin’. The Maha Vikas Aghadi even took an extreme step by
going to court against this scheme. The Mahayuti government has taken
revolutionary decisions for farmers. By taking decisions like crop insurance in
1 rupee, free electricity to 42 lakh farmers, the Mahayuti government had
proved to farmers that this government is really working for them. Due to fall
in soybean prices, the Modi government has decided to purchase 13 lakh ton of
soybean in the state at the rate of Rs 4,892 per quintal. Due to the fall in
the price of soybean, the farmers suffered huge losses last year. The Mahayuti
government has given compensation amounting to Rs 2,398 crore to around 50 lakh
farmers. The Mahayuti is facing the election on the basis of these concrete
development works. In 2019, voters gave an undisputed verdict in favour of the
BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. But Uddhav Thackeray betrayed the voters and joined
hands with Congress and Sharad Pawar just to get the post of Chief Minister. In
this election voters will definitely teach Uddhav Thackeray a lesson for that
betrayal.
