After
showing how the welfare state should be by taking many beneficial decisions in
the last two and half years and getting people’s clear mandate, Devendra
Fadnavis has become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. People of the state will
definitely experience his efficient governance in future as well.
There
is no need to say anything new about the immense speed and capacity with which
the new Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis works. He has the guts to take the
glorious state of Maharashtra, which is currently leading in development in the
country, on the path of progress even faster. After experiencing his style of
working and his policy so far, even his opponents will agree that his future
administration will be inclusive.
His
qualities like new vision, understanding of current situation and disciplined
planning for future development works are going to be very helpful while
running the state as the Chief Minister. Similarly, his meticulous way to move
forward by taking along all the sections of society is going to give a new
dimension to the future governance of the state. His ambition is more visible
when doing constructive social work. It’s crystal clear and doesn’t need any
proof. A determined and fast paced taskmaster Fadnavis has been a driving force
for many schemes like Atal Setu, Marathwada Water grid, Samruddhi Mahamarg,
Coastal Road, Metro 3, Metro car shed and Jalyukt Shivar. Credit for Ladki
Bahin Yojana and Kisan Samman Nidhi also goes to him only. The needy people are
getting benefits of all these schemes and that is why people are blessing this
government.
If
we study the plans shaped under the leadership of Fadnavis in depth, it is
especially noticeable how all the sections of the society were carefully
considered in those plans. It can be seen that all the deprived sections of the
society like students, women, farmers, working class, unorganized labourers and
the homeless are included. The real success of this government is in this
inclusiveness only. His statement that the pace of development work in the last
two and a half years will now take the state to progress is clear enough. An
immense trust of the people and the confidence of the leaders is the prime
basis of the success that Mahayuti achieved in this assembly election.
This
recalls the statement made by Fadnavis in the victory rally on the day when
election results were announced. While addressing the opposition he said, the
new government will definitely respect your opinions and thoughts and consider
those without evaluating you based on your numerical strength. It is clear that
narrow minded politics has no place in his way of functioning.
Now
the opposition should also think about the extent to which they should show
their hypocrisy in any matter. Opposition parties vehemently alleged that the
EVM voting system was faulty. They are only interested in making baseless
allegations. But no one has been able to prove this anywhere, right from the
election commission to the Supreme Court. Everywhere they fell flat on their
faces. If indeed the EVM voting was faulty, then the opposition would have
proved it long back. But how can they prove something which is nonexistent? And
even after everything is clear now, instead of keeping mum, the opposition is
now planning to hold a mock voting on the ballot paper in Markadwadi. They
should have at least thought about how grave and unconstitutional their act is.
According to the constitution, only the Election Commission can conduct polls.
No other system has the right to hold parallel voting. It is totally
anti-democratic. It is like directly challenging the constitution. Therefore,
it is not acceptable to any sensible citizen who believes in democracy and has
faith in the Constitution.
Many
people are curious about the future direction of the state due to the formation
of the new government. Opposition has no reason to worry about it at all. This
government is very clear about the roadmap of Maharashtra state. Other
politicians may be thinking of only five to ten years. But the newly elected
Chief Minister has a master plan ready for a period much longer than that. The
state has got such visionary leadership now.
This
government, blessed with the wheels of stability and progress, has already
started working in full swing. This government has a human face. Before the
very first meeting of the Cabinet, the first signature of the Chief Minister
was on the file of providing assistance of five lakh rupees from the Chief
Minister’s Relief Fund to a patient in Pune named Chandrakant Shankar Kurhade.
This way of working of the state leadership is assuring for the people. There
are many more future development works in the pipeline that this government
will definitely start. This government has a vision to make radical changes by
implementing schemes in the fields like education, agriculture, industry –
trade, health and sports. The public interest express train that started from
the financial capital Mumbai has reached districts like Nandurbar in the last
two and a half years. Now there is no doubt that the bullet train of
development works will reach every corner of the state.
