No
matter how much the opposition parties keep slapping the ground like snakes,
claiming that Maharashtra is lagging behind in some field, there is no need for
any fortune teller to tell us that Maharashtra is at the forefront of
development and will always remain ahead. The people of the state are not only
hopeful but also completely confident that Maharashtra will move forward
strongly under the dynamic leadership of the state’s Honorable Chief Minister
Devendra Fadnavis.
Both
negative and positive interpretations can be drawn from any statistics.
However, the BJP is not interested in the pretentious game of statistics, but
only in the interest of the people and for this, Chief Minister Devendra
Fadnavis has competently taken the helm of the state.
The
state’s Economic Survey report was recently tabled in the legislature, and the
process of analyzing where the state is leading and lagging behind has begun.
People are interpreting where there has been a decrease and where there has
been an increase in their own biased way. It is certain that the entire world
will appear yellow to those who are jaundiced. But the importance lies not in
the hollow analysis of the opponents, but in what the facts actually are.
The
Chief Minister himself has detailed the state’s financial situation. The
state’s per capita income in the current financial year is estimated at Rs 3
lakh 9 thousand 340. Last year, the same figure was at Rs 2 lakh 78 thousand
681. That means that the per capita income has increased significantly this
year and it is as clear as the noonday sun. Apart from this, a total of Rs
1,39,434 crore of foreign investment has come to the state in the first nine
months of the financial year 2024-25. This is the highest amount of foreign
investment in the state in the last ten years. The BJP-led government has taken
the steps necessary for this. There is no doubt that the sweet fruits of this
labour will be enjoyed in the coming days.
It is
not just the Chief Minister who is saying all this, but the Central
Government’s ‘DPIIT’ has released a report on foreign investment as of December
2024. The Mahayuti government has broken its own record of the financial year
2016-17 by receiving the highest annual foreign investment for the last ten
years in just nine months, and there is still one quarter left. The reason for
presenting all these details is to provide the public with objective
information about what happened during the opposition government and what is
happening during the Mahayuti government.
Chief
Minister Fadnavis had the opportunity in the last two and a half years to
complete the tasks he had undertaken in his first term, and the same momentum
has continued. The government is committed to completing the work of building
on the foundation laid during its first term in office in these five years. The
focus is on infrastructure, technology and investment to make Maharashtra a
trillion dollar economy. The credit for preparing this roadmap goes to the BJP
government. Currently, Maharashtra is the only state in the country that has
crossed the half-trillion mark. It is true that all other states are far
behind. Maharashtra aims to become a trillion dollar economy by 2030 and is
making strong progress towards that goal. These are not just talks, but the
state government also has a department-wise plan ready for it.
Ultimately,
the progress of any region in the world depends on the development of its
agriculture, industry, trade, and human resources. Rapid development of
agriculture requires irrigation, power supply, transportation, and
communication facilities. At the same time, for the development of the
industrial sector, there is an urgent need for modern machinery and techniques,
skilled manpower, good management, abundant energy resources, financial
services, markets, transportation system, abundant water, and modern
communication facilities. All these services are collectively called
infrastructure. Everyone knows how visionary the BJP-led government’s policy is
in this regard.
A
well-functioning infrastructure is the backbone of a modern society. In
addition to playing a vital role in facilitating business transactions,
infrastructure improves the efficiency of a state. It raises the standard of
living of its citizens. There is a direct relationship between infrastructure
and gross domestic product. The expansion of basic services increases the level
of production in a state. It accelerates the development of a state.
The
central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the state government
led by Fadnavis are moving hand in hand towards development. It is well known
that development is the focus of both the governments. Therefore, regardless of
how much anyone cries out, the state is marching towards progress, and from
this point forward, it will always keep racing ahead – this is a truth set in
stone.
